Equity FTW Made a Friend

The goal of Equity FTW is to empower our readers (ahem, that’s you) to make the best decisions with your equity. We’ve been doing this for over two years, publishing at least one article on equity compensation every month, and helping thousands of people improve their understanding of equity compensation.

We do our best to anticipate your questions and provide the information you want and need. We currently have at least 30 additional articles in various stages of planning/writing and are constantly looking for ways to give you an edge in the world of equity compensation.

Several weeks ago, we were approached by Nanfei Yan the founder of Ask Ginkgo. She is creating a revolutionary new tool that we believe will help shift some of the equity negotiation power from employers to employees.

Ask Ginkgo’s mission is to review, decipher, and simplify contracts so employees actually understand them before they sign. You simply upload your offer letter or equity agreement and their product creates a report that clarifies important terms/clauses, highlights which terms/clauses might be negotiable, and assists you in determining whether or not you’re getting a fair offer.

We believe that Ask Ginkgo’s new tool has the potential to transform the way employees evaluate their equity compensation, so we are proud to announce that we’re teaming up with Ask Ginkgo to become one of their Knowledge Partners.

This doesn’t change anything here at Equity FTW. Our goals remain the same. This partnership simply provides greater opportunity for employees to learn about equity compensation and to empower them to use it in ways that better serve their needs.

We plan to write an article detailing the services the Ask Ginkgo tool provides, but in the meantime, please feel free to read the article we wrote for them, “Things to Look Out For in Your Equity Agreement.” As always, thank you for reading.
